Look Out Quora, InboxQ Takes Q&A Off-Site And On To Twitter

As becomes more difficult to find the answers you want on Google, using hashtags like #lazyweb to ask questions on Twitter has become some people's recourse, to much success -- Just try it. Realizing this, Y Combinator company Answerly is announcing a product revamp today, going from a run of the mill Q&A site to something much more interesting. Their new product,IinboxQ is a free browser plugin (right now only available on Chrome) that performs searches for questions on Twitter by keyword and other factors. Will iPad 3 Arrive In 2011

It’s incredible how fast new technology becomes outdated and obsolete these days. The iPad 2 hasn’t even gone on sale yet and there’s already rumors about iPad 3 making it’s debut sometime during the fall, around September to be exact. There’s no confirmation on whether or not these rumors are true. However, Apple must be [...]

Is the Shade Coming Down on the Windows Era?

If the human brain can be compared to a search engine, it seems fair to say that most of us tend to scan the news each day for search terms and phrases that support our existing point of view. That, indeed, could explain why a recent post over at the Linux Foundation has drawn so much attention on the Linux blogs. "HP to Put Linux in Printers and PCs: It's the End of an Era for Windows" was the title of Executive Director Jim Zemlin's post.

Dell Rosemount tablet will have Intel's Oak Trail inside, stylus, removable battery and remote wipe

Dell means business with its upcoming Windows 7 slate, if the whispers we're hearing are true -- we have it on good authority that the recently-leaked Rosemount will be a Latitude. An inside source says that the 10-inch tablet will not only sport Dell's storied business brand but will be geared towards enterprise through and through, with features like serviceable components (including a removable battery), software encryption and the ability to perform a remote wipe, and that it'll have a dual-digitizer to support both touch input and a stylus for fine details. We don't know about performance or battery life quite yet, but the slate will reportedly use an Atom chip, specifically Intel's Oak Trail, so we'll let you imagine the possibilities.

Twitter Wants To Know Why You Aren?t Using #NewTwitter

For any of you who still use the old version of Twitter, you may have noticed that the company has started to actively encourage users to switch the new version, which was unveiled last Fall. At the top of the Twitter.com page, users see a warning "You?re using an old version of Twitter. It won?t be around long," with a button "Switch To New Twitter." And Twitter is also asking those users who don't want to switch to take a survey of why they won't switch. Using SurveyMonkey, Twitter first asks users why they haven't switched. Then Twitter presents users with a list of the most common issues users have complained about with respect to the new version and asks users to rank how much they agree or disagree with each of the statements. These include, "I have to click an extra time to see my lists," "Sometimes I just see a white screen when I log in," "I don't like change. Old Twitter is fine," "There's too much stuff. It feels cluttered.," "It hides my background," "I don't like the 2 column layout," and "I can't find my Direct Messages."

The Too-Many Faces of 'Cyberwar'

Late last year, an online battle erupted when Wikileaks supporters attacked the websites of businesses that had attempted to sever ties with the online leak depository following Wikileaks' release of thousands of secret U.S. State Department cables. Is it fair to call the dust-up to first cyberwar?
